Yes. For Jonesboro, I would charge a flat $250 travel fee rather than calculating mileage. I prefer to keep travel straightforward so the couple knows exactly what their investment will be upfront without having to worry about mileage or other variable transportation expenses. This travel fee will cover both the engagement session as well as the wedding. ½ of the travel fee is due with the initial deposit and is also non-refundable.

Absolutely! Some of the indoor images you may have seen in my portfolio were actually photographed a few years ago, and I have significantly upgraded my equipment since then.

I was already comfortable photographing in low-light environments, but my current camera equipment performs even better in low light, and I have also upgraded my flash and lighting equipment since many of those images were taken.

If by reflective eyes you mean the red or bright reflection that can sometimes happen when flash is directed toward the subject, yes—I can absolutely work to avoid that. I don't rely on harsh, straight-on flash. I can bounce or diffuse my flash and adjust the direction and intensity of the light depending on the room, which allows me to create softer, more natural-looking indoor images while still properly illuminating my subjects.

I'll include a few indoor examples below that show the softer, more natural lighting I can achieve. And honestly, my current equipment gives me even more flexibility than I had when some of those photographs were originally taken.

I am the primary photographer and normally photograph weddings myself. I do, however, have experienced photographers I work with when a second photographer is needed.

For many intimate and smaller weddings, one photographer is more than sufficient. However, if their guest count, timeline, or logistics would benefit from having two photographers, a second photographer can absolutely be added to their collection for an additional fee. If a second photographer is added, a vendor meal would also need to be provided for them.

I also work with an assistant who accompanies me on the wedding day. My assistant does not photograph the event. Instead, they help me manage equipment, lighting, lens changes, camera changes, and other technical needs throughout the day. This allows me to stay focused on the couple and what is happening in front of my camera rather than constantly stepping away to manage gear.

I also photograph with two professional Canon camera bodies and backup equipment, so I have redundancy built into my setup in the event of an equipment issue.

I believe a good wedding photographer needs to know when to take control and when to disappear into the background.

For family portraits, wedding-party photographs, and anything requiring organization, I’m very comfortable stepping in, communicating with everyone, directing groups, posing people, and keeping things moving efficiently. I don't expect the bride or the planner to have to organize everyone for me while I'm standing there with a camera.

During the ceremony, reception, and emotional candid moments, however, I become much more unobtrusive. Those are the moments where I want people interacting naturally rather than constantly being aware of my camera.

So I’m very involved when you need me to be and a fly on the wall when the moment calls for it.

Yes. I take wedding commitments extremely seriously and maintain professional relationships with other photographers who can be contacted in the event of a genuine emergency. Maybe it is my military background or my strong worth ethic, but I take everything I do very seriously.

Of course, the goal is always for me to be there. I’m the photographer they hired and the person whose work and style they chose. But weddings cannot simply be rescheduled because a vendor has an emergency, so having professional relationships within the photography community is an important part of running a responsible wedding business.

On the equipment side, I also arrive with backup equipment, including two professional Canon camera bodies, so an equipment failure does not mean their photography coverage stops.

For wedding coverage of four hours or more, I require a vendor meal for myself and my assistant. If the couple chooses to add an associate/second photographer to their collection, a vendor meal would need to be provided for that photographer as well.

I personally do not have any food allergies. If an additional photographer is booked, I would confirm any food allergies or dietary restrictions with them beforehand and communicate that information to you.

I also do not take my meal break until the bride and groom are eating. I want to remain available and photographing throughout the important portions of the day, so once the couple sits down to eat is generally when my team and I will take our meal break. That way, we're ready to resume coverage as soon as the couple is finished.
